Turn off “Always on” display & choose lower brightness

The higher the brightness, the quicker the battery drains. This is because your phone is using extra energy to provide a brightened display. If you’re indoors, choose brightness level that is suitable for the eyes. Too much brightness would just lower the battery timing.

Another trick you can use to prolong battery timing is by turning off the “Always on” display. This is no huge science, if the screen is always on, it’s obviously consuming unnecessary battery. So instead of that. Turn it off and save the unnecessary battery usage. This would be helpful in the long run.

Turn on Power Saving mode

If you’re on low battery and the charger is nowhere nearby, don’t worry, you can always resort to the power saving mode. This allows you to use only the high priority apps. You can either select between different presets offered by power saving mode or customize to your needs. Either way, your phone will pull out the best time for the remaining battery.

Optimize your phone

To set up the fingerprint lock on your device, follow these steps;

1. Go to the settings and select lock screen & security.
2. From lock screen security, select fingerprint scanner.

In this new era of 2 in 1 devices here is what the Samsung Galaxy Book has to offer.

Design & Body

Samsung features the same design language for all their products but improving the build quality depending on the market it targets and since we’re talking about quality, Samsung is definitely not planning to take any risks on making the Galaxy Book anything less than perfect. Samsung definitely plans to make the Galaxy Book second to none. The Galaxy Book will arrive in two variants; 10.6 inch & 12 inch sizes. But both variants have a fair share of differences. The 10.6 inch would come without the Pogo keyboard and if you don’t have any Bluetooth keyboard or a keyboard that can connect to the device via USB-C port, you should probably get one or just prefer the 12 inch variant which includes multiple USB-C port. Why not connect the device to a charger as well as a keyboard? Nice thinking there Samsung.

However that’s not all, the display technology is also different for both devices.  The 10.6 inch offers a 1080p FHD LCD screen while the 12 inch offers a far better super AMOLED display. So unless you have your hands tied, we prefer the 12 inch one over the 10.6 inch.

S-Pen

Both devices include the S-Pen compatibility & since the S-Pen doesn’t require any Charging or pairing, it’s very useful especially for artists and users who use their 2 in 1 laptops for more creative purposes. Wether it be to paint a stroke using the S-Pen or just normal compatible use, it works like a charm and Samsung has greatly improved the quality as well as performance. It operates with Windows as well and works excellent with Adobe applications. All thanks to the Samsung-Adobe collaboration. However there’s no place to store the S-Pen in the keyboard or the tablet itself so good luck with that.

Performance & Battery

The Galaxy book is not all about brilliant design & compatibly, it also has good hardware. Galaxy Book comes with a “dual-core Intel Core m3 at 2.6GHz”. But wait it gets better with the 12 inch variant, you get a dual-core Intel Core i5 at 3.1 GHz. That’s not all, both models incorporate 4GB RAM. The 10.6 inch model however only offers 64GB storage, the 12 inch model offers a 128GB storage. Both models however include an option for external memory.

Battery timing becomes a problem when it comes to powerful devices but that’s not the case with these two devices, the 10.6 inch variant can last you for 10 hours while the 12 inch variant can last a little over 10 hours.

Back in the days where smartphones were merely concepts, Nokia 3310 was the real king of all the phones, it was everything you could ask for in a phone at that time. Nonetheless, Nokia has introduced new colours for the 2017’s 3310 including yellow, orange and the original matte blue and grey.

Nokia doesn’t want to raise a phone from a grave, rather Nokia wants people to relive the nostalgia of owning one of the world’s most reliable phones or otherwise known as “Mother of all phones” and while Nokia wants users to enjoy the original simplicity, it also aims to provide users the joy of using a phone from early 2000’s into 2017 with a few advancements. The new Nokia 3310 includes a larger screen than the original 3310 and the best part is it’s color-display, so that you don’t have to worry about black & white display. The screen measures 2.4″ & 240×320 pixels as compared to the original which had a 1.5″ display, needless to mention (black & white display).

Internet?

Yes, the new Nokia 3310 can run the internet through Opera Mini Browser but don’t expect a smooth surfing experience like on an iPhone because unlike an iPhone, the Nokia 3310 has 2.5g instead of 3g or 4g.

You’ve went over with the troubleshooting issue, the ink, the paper jams but nothing seems to work. Don’t worry, there’s probably something wrong with the print queue.

Here are a few tips to help you get past the trouble.

Restart the Print Spooler

Now this may seem like an old fashioned trick but it’s very handy. Most times it’s the issue with the print queue, by simply rebooting the print spooler; the software that manages printing can automatically solve the process. And since restarting doesn’t cancel any ongoing prints rather restarts the process only, this trick should be the first to come to mind when a problem like this arises.

All you have to do is cancel the service and clear the cache then restart again.

How to restart the Print Spooler Manually?

To restart the Printing process again, you’d have to manually shut down the Print spooler. To do this,

• Click start and run the services app. (Write Services.msc in search if you can’t find it.)
• Find “Print Spooler” and click it to display properties.
• On seeing the properties window, click on general & click on stop at the bottom.
• This will stop the print spooler.
• Now open the file explorer and go navigate the address bar. Enter this text or copy paste it.

%windir%\System32\spool\PRINTERS

• Once entered, you’ll be asked permission to open the folder. Authorize using the admin’s account.
• Press Ctrl+A and then hit delete to empty the folder’s content.
• Now again run the services app and open properties by clicking on the Print Spooler and then clicking general.
• Click start to restart the Print Spooler and then exit by clicking on OK at the bottom bar.

As soon as you press OK, your documents would start printing right away in the same queue.

However if there’s still an issue with the printing, try this,

Attach a Batch File

Another way to get rid of the stuck print file without going through all the struggle mentioned above is to add a batch file.

Follow the following,

• Open Notepad on your desktop.
• Copy/paste the following

net stop spooler

del /Q /F /S “%windir%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*.*”

net start spooler

• Save your document.
• Open the file menu and press “Save As” and choose the drive you want to save the file to.
• Click on the “Save as Type” and name your file what you want to, however do include “.bat” for a better recall.

You can now use this file to clear the Print Spooler whenever you want by opening it.

Cancel a specific printing document and restart it.

Last but not the least, if you’re stuck with the same document, you can prioritize your documents by excluding the stuck document so that once the rest of the documents are printed, you can print the stuck one later or just cancel all the documents and put them on printing queue again. To do this, follow.

• Click start, type devices and run it.
• Click the “Devices and Printers”.
• On the Window that shows up on clicking the “Devices and Printers”, choose your printer.
• Right click on the printer tab and select “what’s printing” to view the printing queue.
• The printing queue would display the documents to be printed and the documents that have been printed. Click the header “Submitted” so that the documents show up in the same order they were queued.
• Right click the first document and either select “cancel” or “restart”. However we recommend that you restart the first document. If your printer starts printing then you’re good to go. Otherwise cancel all the documents and restart the process.

This should definitely help you with printing your documents, if still no success then something might be wrong with your printer or PC.
