Tips to solve Google Play Store No Connection Error.

1. Clear Play Store App Cache:

Clearing Google Play store app cache resolves no connection error in some cases. Cache temporarily stores the data which helps you to quickly access the app when you open it next time. It just makes the app to load quicker and clearing the cache will do no harm.

Here are the steps to clear the cache

Go to Settings and open the apps section.

Choose “All” apps and then find Google Play Store app.

Tap on the play store app and then tap on “Clear Cache” and “Clear Data”

2. Check Date and Time Settings:

Google Play store app synchronizes time and date with their servers so it is necessary that you have correct time and date on your phone. Lot of users are facing no connection issue because of incorrect date and time settings. To make sure your date and time settings are correct and time zone is properly selected go to settings > Date & Time and select Automatic Date and Time or manually set the date, time and time zone.

3. Login/out of your Google account:

Logging out of your Google account and then signing in again may do the trick.

Go to Settings > Accounts > Google.

Select your Google account and tap on “Remove account” in top right corner.

Restart your Smartphone and then enter Google account email and password again by going to Settings > Accounts > Add Account.

If you have changed your Google account password on your PC then you need to update it on your Smartphone as well. Logging in/out will update the password and will help Google Play app to function properly.

4. Uninstall Updates:

If the above fixes doesn’t work for you then try going back to the original version of the Play store app (the version which was first installed on your device). Sometime new updates don’t go well with your phone so uninstalling these updates may solve the connection issue. Go to Settings and find Google Play Store app and then tap on “Uninstall Updates”.

5. Delete or Edit Hosts file:

If your device is rooted then there is a simple fix which works most of the time. Open file manager and go to system/etc/hosts and open Hosts file. Insert the # symbol before second set of IP addresses (change from 127.0.0.1 to #127.0.0.1) Restart your phone, remove Google account, and add it again and problem will be solved. If editing the hosts.txt file doesn’t work then try deleting the hosts.txt file.

6. Factory Reset your Phone

If all of the above mentioned tips doesn’t work for you then it’s time to do a Factory Reset of your phone. Factory resetting will clear all data so make sure to have a backup of all your contacts and other important data before performing factory reset.

Go to Settings > Backup & Reset > and then tap on “Factory Data Reset” to reset your phone to the original condition.

For some time now, our team has shared that we plan to focus our efforts on Hangouts. The Google Talk app for Windows will be deprecated on February 23, 2015. This will allow us to focus on bringing you the most robust and expressive communications experience with Google Hangouts.

However third party apps like Pidgin, Trillian etc and all other compatible apps will continue to work.

If you’re not ready to make the switch to Hangouts quite yet, you can continue using Google Talk on Windows with a range of compatible third-party chat apps (http://goo.gl/FSbCX5). Please keep in mind these aren’t Google products, so exercise caution when signing in with your Google account.

As there will no more updates to the Google Talk app and it may stop working anytime in future, so it might be the best time for you to move to Hangouts by using Gmail or chrome app. Google says that it is focusing on making Hangouts better. Lets see it can keep Google Talk users satisfied with Hangouts or not…

Right to be forgotten actually states that individuals possess the right to request search engines to remove material that is linked to their personal data. The conditions include that data would be removed if it is impropriate, offensive or sparse.

Initially, Google acquired an immediate action and played along the ruling since last May and launched a web page for those people, who wanted to remove their private data from the search engine. According to a close source, 174,266 requests have been filed for removing 602,479 links since May 2014 and Google has removed 58.5% (352,450 links) from Europe. The company explained that search results will be blocked entirely under the Right to be forgotten ruling, if they include the person’s name. Otherwise, if the search is made through using keywords or not mentioning the name, the browser will show the required results.

Simply then, Google was accused of misinterpreting the court decision and acting “silly political games” for deleting links of apparently harmless new articles and applying the ruling incorrectly. Some specialists gave their points of view about this matter and stated that Google has only touched off this controversy to stimulate a response from people.

Google denied all these accusations, but now it is demanding to restrict the censorship to Europe. The Google Advisory Board has decided that they would not extend the censorship efforts beyond Europe. On the contrary, EU regulators have the perspective that the Right of Being Forgotten should be applied globally and to all versions of Google. Their representatives, in November, have alleged that the internet is global so privacy of people must be made globally, but Google has aggressively indicated that it will not expand this program worldwide. It has limited the takedown requests to its European domains.

The Google Advisory Council has issued a 44 page report last week and has strongly recommended that it’ll only apply the directive to European based browsing services. It has held its decision by mentioning that 95% of search engines access local version of Google. The report also states that this right is European concept and should be applied with in Europe.

Well, this is it until now. Google still has the sheer volume of requests, but it has firmly decided to limit this so called Right Of Being Forgotten in Europe only.

PUBLIC REACTION:

This issue has divided the Media law experts and a war has started between privacy campaigners and activists of freedom of speech. Many have seen the removals as censorship and websites have put up to discover and post those links which have been withdrawn by Google under the ruling. . Google has also faced opposition from BBC and CNN for removing the searching content. There are other views that say that the court ruling is not supposed to allow people to “Photoshop their lives”.

If reports are accurate then Google must release tablet within upcoming weeks as many people have already done their holiday shopping that’s why if company wants to make some real profit then it should release the device within a week or 2. The original version of the tablet was released in November 2012 and that’s why everyone was expecting the newer version in the same month on Black Friday and then on Cyber Monday but there was nothing special on these days for nexus 10 fans.

According to latest rumours its not Samsung or ASUS who is manufacturing nexus 10 2 as its LG who is working on Nexus 10 next generation. Remember LG have also manufactured Nexus 4 and 5 smartphones.
